Commissions are undertaken with the same depth of research and studio practice as the exhibited work.
Every commission begins with an initial discussion, exploring the options and what you're hoping to capture. Because every piece is different — a portrait, a response to a place, something drawn from conversation — there's no single fixed process to describe. What stays consistent is this: each commission will be a genuine expression of Brash's own style and approach, not a literal copy of a photograph or brief.
